In line with efforts to enhance academic and cultural cooperation and advance community engagement, Dr. Zirak Yousif Hasan, Director of the American Corner at the University of Duhok, conducted an official visit to the Second Military College in Zakho. He and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Major General Nazir Asim Goran, Dean of the College, together with senior college officials.

The visit focused on introducing the American Corner’s programs and activities and showcasing its contribution to educational development, academic enrichment, and community service. As part of the visit, Dr. Zirak delivered an academic seminar to a group of military officers, highlighting key initiatives of the American Corner, including training programs, educational workshops, cultural events, and leadership development opportunities.

In addition, the American Corner donated 200 books in the fields of American politics, history, education, and literature to support the Military College’s academic library and strengthen knowledge exchange between educational institutions.

This visit underscores the Strategic commitment of the University of Duhok and the American Corner to expanding institutional partnerships, promoting knowledge-sharing, and building lasting academic and cultural links with various sectors of society.
