The Center for Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution organized a job fair in Semel District, bringing together over 30 companies, international and local organizations, and business leaders. Held at the Youth Directorate Hall in Semel, the event provided a platform for students and community members to connect with potential employers, fostering partnerships between the University of Duhok and the private sector.

Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of the University of Duhok, attended the event and emphasized the university’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry. “The center is making significant efforts to link our students with employers, equipping them with real-world opportunities and experiences. The University of Duhok remains committed to strengthening partnerships with the private sector to create employment opportunities for its graduates,” he stated.

Dr. Dilshad Abdul Jabbar Haleem, Vice President of the University of Duhok, supervised the event and highlighted the fair's value as a community-focused university project. In his opening remarks, he underscored that such initiatives not only support students in finding employment but also reinforce the university’s engagement with the broader community.

The exhibition is part of the center’s project, "Strengthening Social Unity in Semel District," supported by Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and in collaboration with Career Development Center (CDC) at the University of Duhok.

The job fair attracted a large number of visitors and was officially opened with the participation of Mr. Zardasht Sheikh Shamo, representative of the Semel District Governor, and Mr. Hkar Nerway, Director of the Youth Directorate. The one-day event, held on November 11, saw enthusiastic community involvement, highlighting the importance of collaboration among educational institutions, the private sector, and local authorities.
