- LASER PULSE Project (2022–2024) Co-led interdisciplinary research on post-ISIS recovery in Northern Iraq (livelihoods, identity, peacebuilding and social cohesion) with Purdue University, Notre Dame University, Indiana University, Coventry University, and Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
- Main Researcher, UNDP Project – Local Peace Committees and Community Mediation in Post-IS Iraq (2025): Led a qualitative, multi-site study-based key-informant interviews across diverse Iraqi districts to assess the effectiveness, sustainability, and impact of Local Peace Committees (LPCs) in conflict resolution and IDP reintegration. The research applied thematic analysis to examine mediation practices, peace agreements, community trust, and coordination with state actors, producing evidence-based recommendations on institutionalizing LPCs to strengthen inclusive peacebuilding, social cohesion, and post-conflict stabilization.
