As part of its commitment to promoting academic dialogue and civic awareness, the Center for Federalism Studies, University of Duhok, in collaboration with the American Corner UOD, organized a specialized workshop on the theoretical and practical dimensions of federalism for students and lecturers from the College of Political Sciences, University of Duhok.

The workshop targeted students from both departments of the College of Political Sciences:

• International Relations and Diplomacy
• Political Systems and Public Policy

The sessions featured interactive discussions on the importance of the federal system for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the historical reasons behind adopting federalism, and the major political and institutional challenges affecting its implementation.

The event forms part of the Center for Federalism Studies’ ongoing academic programs aimed at:

• Raising awareness of governance and constitutional systems
• Encouraging critical political dialogue among youth
• Strengthening civic engagement and academic participation in national issues

Through such initiatives, the University of Duhok continues to reinforce its role as a center for academic excellence, policy dialogue, and community-oriented education.
