| The University of Duhok held the graduation photo ceremony for fourth-year students of the College of Basic Education-Amedi. This marks another important milestone in the college's journey to prepare capable teachers in the field of education and teaching in the Amedi district, enabling them to optimally serve the country and society.

A College Dedicated to Advancing Education and Teaching

The College of Basic Education in the Amedi district was established on May 12, 2015. The establishment of this college was a crucial and strategic necessity for preparing educational cadres in the region. From that time until now, the college has had six graduating classes, with a total of (1,221) students graduating. Currently, the number of students enrolled in the college has reached (432).

The bachelor’s degree program at this college spans four years, and the graduating student receives a bachelor's degree specializing in educational sciences. During their studies, students learn social studies and the English language, which also strengthens their social and interpersonal relations.

Academic Departments and Development Plans

At present, the college will welcome students into three main departments: (Social Studies, English Language, and Kurdish). However, with continuous growth, official approval has been obtained to open three additional departments: (Arabic Language, Science, and Kindergarten). It is planned that upon the full completion of the college building, students will be admitted to these three departments as well.

Preparing Graduates for Various Job Opportunities

Graduates of the College of Basic Education-Amedi are prepared in a way that enables them to efficiently enter the labor market. They can work as teachers or lecturers in both the public and private education sectors, or at private institutes. Additionally, due to their interpersonal and linguistic capabilities, graduates can effectively perform administrative and managerial tasks.

Commending Four Years of Hard Work and a New Phase

The day of the graduation photo session is a day full of joy for the fourth-year students. On this day, their four years of hard work come to fruition. In the presence of the college council, taking these photos serves as a great motivation for these students as they step into a new phase of life.
