University of Duhok’s Psycho-Social Counseling and Student Services Center Introduces Its Mission at the College of Fine Arts

UOD, September 26, 2025 | University Press Office (UNPO) | The Psycho-Social Counseling and Student Services Center at the University of Duhok (UOD) organized an introductory session yesterday at the College of Fine Arts to present its mission, services, and goals to staff.

The session was attended by Dr. Ayoob Ramadhan Fattah, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, and Mr. Rebar Rushdi Abdulqadir, Vice Dean, alongside staff. The program was led by the Center’s Director, Dr. Dilveen Miqdad Ahmed, together with the Center’s staff and specialized psychology therapists.

During the meeting, the Center highlighted its key roles in:

  • Supporting the academic, psychological, and social well-being of students.

  • Providing comprehensive counseling services for students, faculty, and staff.

  • Enhancing health, cultural, and volunteering initiatives across the campus.

  • Establishing clear and transparent systems aligned with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the UOD Presidency.

This initiative reflects the University of Duhok’s strategy to fostering a supportive and inclusive academic environment, ensuring that counseling and guidance services are accessible across all colleges to help students grow personally, academically, and socially.
