Advancing Musculoskeletal Care: University of Duhok Hosts the 4th Duhok Musculoskeletal Symposium

The University of Duhok (UOD), through its College of Medicine, organized the 4th Duhok Musculoskeletal Symposium in collaboration with the General Directorate of Duhok Health and Lotus Pharma & Potafast Company, reaffirming UOD’s commitment to continuous medical education, clinical excellence, and evidence-based healthcare.

Held on January 29, 2026, the symposium brought together orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, and medical specialists to discuss recent advances in musculoskeletal diagnosis and management. The scientific program featured two focused sessions addressing key topics such as axial spondyloarthritis, ACL-deficient knee management, diabetes-related musculoskeletal complications, biologic therapies and DMARDs, and minimally invasive spinal procedures.

Renowned clinicians contributed expert-led presentations, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and knowledge exchange. The event was accredited with 3 CME/CAD points, supporting physicians’ professional development and enhancing healthcare service quality across the region.

This symposium aligns with the University of Duhok’s strategic vision to strengthen medical education, promote research-informed practice, and expand institutional partnerships that positively impact community health outcomes.
