UOD-College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES) 2024-2025 Graduation Photo session
Introducing the College
The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES) at the University of Duhok is one of the university’s pioneering colleges, located in an area 15 km west of Duhok designated for agricultural research purposes. Established in 1992 to advance agricultural knowledge and sustainability in the Kurdistan Region, CAES focuses on applied agricultural sciences, modern engineering practices in farming, animal production, horticulture, forestry, food science, and water and soil resources. The college offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs across multiple departments, preparing students to meet local and global agricultural challenges.
Celebrating the Graduating Class
The recent graduation photo session for CAES captured moments of joy, pride, and achievement among its graduating class. This cohort includes future agricultural engineers, specialists in food processing, horticulturists, soil and water experts, and animal production professionals. These graduates are expected to make significant contributions to sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental protection — key priorities in the Kurdistan Region and beyond. Many of them benefited from CAES’s hands-on training facilities, experimental farms.
Moments of Celebration
Beyond the photographs, the event was a memorable day filled with emotional moments as graduates posed with friends, families, and professors who accompanied them along the way. The college’s motto — “Agriculture is the Backbone of Life” — was echoed throughout the celebration, highlighting CAES’s mission to drive agricultural advancement and community development.
