UOD, June, 2026 – University Press Office (UNPO) | The American Corner Duhok at the University of Duhok, in collaboration with the International Friendship Organization (I.F.O.) and ASA Organization for Legal and Community Development, organized a three-day training workshop entitled "Building a Diplomatic Personality," on June 16–18, 2026

The workshop brought together academic staff members, graduates, and students from the University of Duhok, Nawroz University, and Duhok Polytechnic University. The training was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Range M. Nori Dawoda and Dr. Khalid Mandhar Hamzah Kirkuki, Regional Director of the International Friendship Organization (I.F.O.).

The course focused on developing leadership and diplomatic competencies, emphasizing personality development, strategic leadership, effective communication, and the characteristics required for professional success in academic and diplomatic environments. Participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to strengthen their interpersonal and leadership skills.

The workshop covered several key themes, including strategic leadership and decision-making, relationship management and alliance-building, networking skills, effective communication and influence, as well as official and institutional protocols and etiquette.

The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills necessary for leadership roles and professional engagement in diverse cultural and institutional settings.

The workshop was organized in partnership with the ASA Organization for Legal and Community Development, a civil society organization working in the fields of legal development, legal reform, and community needs assessment and advocacy. The event was also supported by the International Friendship Organization (I.F.O.), an international organization with activities across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Iraq, Arab countries, and Europe, organizing conferences, forums, and training programs in international relations, diplomacy, body language, etiquette, Training of Trainers (TOT), artificial intelligence, and various other professional fields.

Through initiatives such as this workshop, the American Corner Duhok continues to contribute to enhancing students' and academics' professional capacities and promoting leadership, international engagement, and lifelong learning opportunities within the University of Duhok community.
