In a distinguished academic and youth-centered atmosphere, the University of Duhok officially launched the 18th Annual Scout Camp of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences on May 21, 2026, reaffirming the university’s commitment to student leadership, teamwork, and experiential learning.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of the University of Duhok, alongside the Vice Presidents, the Deans of the UOD Colleges, academic staff, and students.

Promoting Leadership, Discipline, and Teamwork

The annual scout camp, which has become an established academic and sports tradition at the university, reflects UOD’s vision of developing well-rounded students through practical and community-oriented activities. The initiative emphasizes:
