Emotional Intelligence Training by Global Leadership Partners Engages 44 UOD Students

📍 UOD – May 21, 2025 | University Press Office (UNPO) | As part of the University of Duhok’s Strategic Plan 2023–2038, the Career Development Center (CDC) hosted a two-day seminar titled “EQ for Success: Seminars on Emotional Intelligence” from May 19–20, 2025. The event was held at the College of Engineering and aimed to build essential leadership and interpersonal skills.

The program was delivered by Marek Felskowski, an international speaker from Global Leadership Partners (GLP), and welcomed 44 participating students from various UOD colleges.

💼 Seminar Structure and Sessions
The seminar included morning sessions covering:

• Leadership Emotional Intelligence
• Self-Awareness
• Self-Management
• Relationship Management
• Conflict Management
   

Afternoon sessions featured one-on-one personal coaching and opportunities for students to design personal development plans.

These hands-on coaching sessions allowed students to connect theory with personal growth strategies tailored to real-life challenges.

🎤 Recognition and Closing Ceremony
On the second day, Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim Mohammed, Vice President for Student Affairs, attended the closing with Dr. Ahmed Khairadeen Ali, the Director of CDC. Dr. Nabaz praised the students for their commitment to personal development and emphasized that the CDC remains open to student-led ideas and initiatives.

“The Career Development Center is your platform,” Dr. Nabaz said. “We welcome your suggestions, creativity, and ambitions.”
