College of Dentistry Launches Specialized Workshop on Aesthetic Composite Restorations for Dentists in Duhok

The College of Dentistry at the University of Duhok (UOD) launched a two-day specialized training workshop today, July 12, 2026, titled "The Art and Science of Composite Restorations: An Aesthetic Approach." The workshop brings together 35 dentists from across Duhok for intensive scientific and practical training designed to enhance clinical skills in restorative dentistry.
The first day of the workshop was held at the College of Dentistry, while the second day will take place at the Phantom Laboratory on the University of Duhok campus, where participants will receive hands-on training using advanced dental equipment and simulation technologies.
The workshop is delivered by the College of Dentistry faculty members:
- Dr. Hashim Dawood Musa
- Dr. Mohammed Rasheed Nabi
- Dr. Pirjeen Mohammed Salih
Advancing Clinical Skills Through Evidence-Based Training
The workshop focuses on modern approaches to composite restorations, combining scientific knowledge with practical techniques to achieve highly aesthetic and durable dental restorations. Through lectures, demonstrations, and supervised hands-on sessions, participants are introduced to the latest materials, technologies, and clinical protocols used in contemporary restorative dentistry.
A key feature of the program is the use of qualified dental instruments, modern equipment, and phantom simulation units, enabling participants to practice advanced restorative procedures in a realistic clinical environment before applying these techniques in patient care.
