University of Duhok Hosts Seminar on Social Adaptation

The Psycho-Social Counseling and Student Services Center at the University of Duhok organized a seminar titled “How to Adapt to Society” at the College of Administration and Economics, with the participation of faculty members and students.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Samia Saeed Khalid, academic at the College of Humanities, who addressed the concept of social adaptation, its dimensions, and practical mechanisms for achieving healthy adjustment within society. The session explored strategies for coping with challenges and crises, highlighting key psychological and social tools that enable individuals to maintain balance and resilience in changing environments.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Dilvin Miqdad Ahmed, Director of Center, introduced the Center’s services and emphasized its role in supporting students’ mental and social well-being. She encouraged students to seek professional support whenever facing stress, psychological difficulties, or social challenges, assuring that all services are delivered by qualified specialists with full confidentiality and respect for student privacy.
This seminar reflects the University of Duhok’s continued commitment to promoting student well-being, enhancing psychosocial awareness, and strengthening its community engagement mission.
