College of Law: Closing Ceremony of the Administrative and Legal Development Training Course in Amedi District

Amedi, August, 2026 | University Press Office (UNPO) – On Thursday, 13 August 2026, the closing ceremony of the Administrative and Legal Development Training Course was held at the Seminar Hall in Amedi District. The course was organized by the College of Law at the University of Duhok in cooperation with the Independent Human Rights Commission in Duhok and continued for a period of 21 days.

Academic and Administrative Participation

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Aveen Khaled Abdulrahman, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Duhok; Mr. Warshin Salman Mohammed, Mayor (District Commissioner) of Amedi District; Mr. Diler Abdullah Hassan, Director of the Independent Human Rights Commission in Duhok Governorate; as well as Dr. Ali Younus Ismael, Head of the Department of Law; Dr. Sardar Imad Al-Din; Dr. Fares Ali Jangir; and Mr. Ismat Ali Muhammed, who served as trainers for the course, in addition to the participants.

Strengthening Administrative and Legal Capacities

In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the importance of such training programs in strengthening the administrative and legal knowledge and skills of public employees. They highlighted their vital role in enhancing institutional efficiency and improving the quality of public services. They also stressed the importance of continuing similar initiatives due to their positive impact on professional development and institutional performance.

Specialized Administrative and Legal Topics

The course covered a range of specialized administrative and legal topics aimed at enhancing participants’ professional competencies and practical capacities, enabling them to perform their duties and responsibilities more effectively and efficiently.

Certificates Awarded to Participants

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation were awarded to the trainees by the Dean of the College of Law and the Mayor of Amedi District in recognition of their active engagement and commitment throughout the course. The successful completion of the course represented a notable example of cooperation and coordination between academic institutions and government administrative bodies in supporting institutional development and capacity building
