Completion Ceremony of the Renovated Female Dormitories at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
UOD, November, 2025 - University Press Office | The University of Duhok (UOD) celebrated the completion of the renovation project for the Kurdistan Salih Female Accommodation Building (No. 4) at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES). The comprehensive upgrade, started in August and concluded in October, has transformed the four-story dormitory—housing 160 students across 59 rooms—into a modern, comfortable, and inclusive living space.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences (CAES), Dr. Shukri Haji Salih, Vice President of UOD for Administrative and Financial Affairs: Dr. Dilshad Abduljabbar Haleem, Vice President of UOD for Students Affairs: Dr. Nabaz Ibraheem Mohammed, Representatives of US. Friends of AMAR Organization and Right Vision Organization.
During the ceremony, several opening remarks were delivered underscoring the importance of this milestone. Following the formal inauguration, attendees toured the newly renovated facility and engaged in a consultative discussion with the students, who shared their thoughts and suggestions.
Supported by the U.S. Friends of AMAR Organization and implemented by the Right Vision Organization under UOD’s engineering supervision, the project reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing student well-being, gender inclusion, and campus development.
Renovations included the modernization of student rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, as well as the creation of two new cultural halls designed to foster community engagement and peer support among female students.
This initiative underscores UOD’s dedication to:
- Improving student living conditions through strategic campus development.
- Promoting gender inclusion and safe, community-oriented housing.
- Strengthening collaboration with local and international partners for sustainable progress.
