On February 9th, 2015, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced a project to internationalize the Kurdistan Region universities.  The announcement took place in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Yusuf Goran, President of the UoD, Dr. Mosleh Duhoky, the American Consul General and a number of other authorities.

Dr. Goran, clarified that this project is a good move for improving the abilities of the Kurdistan Region universities. The Minister went on to say, “The project will strengthen relations with other universities and pave the way for signing new agreements, finding good financial resources with international institutions and having good project awareness to higher education conditions.”  “Also, implementing this project will have a good effect on the higher education, scientific, and academic levels of our universities.”

From his side, the American Consul General showed his readiness in supporting the project to join all international universities with the Kurdistan Region universities.
