UOD – August 27, 2025, University Press Office (UNPO) | The Volunteers Club at the University of Duhok, established in February 2025 in partnership with Volunteer.KRD, will host its first official elections on August 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM at the Volunteers Club premises.

The Volunteers Club has quickly become a vibrant platform for students to engage in community service, develop leadership skills, and foster a culture of volunteerism. The upcoming elections will allow students to democratically elect the club’s first board, ensuring transparency, accountability, and youth-driven leadership.

The elected board will serve from September 2025 to August 2026, taking on roles such as:

• President: Leads the club, coordinates with Volunteer.KRD, and guides initiatives.
  
  
• Vice President: Assists the President, tracks goals, and submits reports.
  
  
• Secretary: Manages records, communication, and archives.
  
  
• Treasurer: Handles finances, reports, and receipts.
  
  
• Operations Officer: Oversees event logistics and safety.
  
  
• Volunteer Services Coordinator: Recruits volunteers and ensures monthly participation.

Together, they will oversee student engagement, event planning, and monthly activities that reach over 500 students.

This milestone reflects the University of Duhok’s ongoing commitment to empowering youth, strengthening civic responsibility, and supporting student-led initiatives that benefit both campus life and the wider community.
