UoD Students Invited to Showcase Creativity in TRANSITION Cultural Heritage Contest
UoD, October 8, 2026 | University Press Office (UNPO) — The University of Duhok invites its Bachelor’s and Master’s students to participate in the TRANSITION Students’ Creative Contest on Cultural Heritage and Minorities (CHM), held under the theme “Resilient Cultural Heritage.”
The contest encourages students to develop and present creative ideas that promote awareness of the importance of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, particularly the heritage of minority communities, and contribute to dialogue on cultural heritage preservation.
Students may participate individually or in teams of up to two students. Submissions may take various creative forms, including papers, videos, podcasts, visual art, music, posters, photography, and other relevant creative works.
Submissions may be prepared in English, Kurdish, or Arabic. Entries in Kurdish or Arabic should also include an English title and a brief English summary.
The University of Duhok will conduct an internal selection and nominate up to two students for the final stage. Selected students will have the opportunity to present their work during the third TRANSITION public conference on “Resilient Cultural Heritage,” to be hosted by the University of Duhok in conjunction with the TRANSITION Final Conference. The exact conference date will be announced separately.
