About the Department

Civil engineers provide the proper infrastructure for our daily life while minimizing the environmental impact of any new scheme. The Department of Civil Engineering has developed innovative programs that meet the future challenges of business, industry and academia.

This is a four-year program; the graduate of this program is a civil engineer whom is able to work in the design and construction of structures, roadways and bridges, hydraulic structures and water and wastewater facilities.

To qualify for the Bachelor degree from College of Engineering, all students must acquire a total of 3300 hours (during 8 semesters).

This program is concerned with introducing the students to various steps of development of Civil Engineering. In the early stages of the program, the students learn the basic topics that will reinforce their previous knowledge. In the advanced stages, the curricula go in depth to provide the students with knowledge and experience enabling them to master and control these curricula and helping them become experts in their specialty.

Mission

Our mission is to equip the society with highly qualified civil engineers that will support its continuous development for a prosperous life and to lead innovation through research.

Vision

We envision a department to offer the top programs in all aspects of civil engineering in the region.
