Externship Program

The Externship Program at the University of Duhok provides students with a one-day immersive experience in a professional work environment. Students have the opportunity to observe operations, network with professionals, and learn about potential internships, research positions, and full-time opportunities. Activities may include facility tours, panel discussions, and meetings with organizational leaders.

For Students

Students can sign up for externship visits through the CDC. If attending requires being excused from class, complete an excuse memo in advance to provide to your instructors. For any questions about the program or class excusals, contact the CDC.

Fall 2025 Externship Opportunities

Example: Crowder Construction Externship Visit

• Date: Thursday, August 28, 2025
  
• Meeting Point: Career Development Center, Hall 2, 9:15 AM
  
• Destination: Crowder Construction Apex Office
  
• Provided: Transportation and lunch
  
• Return Time: Approximately 2:30 PM to University of Duhok
  
• Dress Code: Business casual – long pants, sleeves, and closed-toed shoes required
  

About the Organization:
Crowder Construction, a family and employee-owned business, builds infrastructure including bridges, dams, highways, water/wastewater facilities, industrial and power facilities, and alternative energy projects such as solar and biomass.

Registration:
Externships are limited to a small group of students on a first-come, first-served basis. If you register but cannot attend, notify the CDC as soon as possible.
