Your Path, Your Future! Career Readiness for First-Year Students

Starting university is exciting — and sometimes overwhelming. That’s why the Career Development Center at the University of Duhok created Your Path, Your Future: Career Readiness for First-Year Students, a workshop series designed specifically for first-year and new transfer students.

This series includes both virtual workshops and in-person, hands-on Career Labs that help you explore career options, build confidence, and set yourself up for professional success from day one.

Whether you’re still exploring your major, curious about career paths, or ready to start building your professional brand, these sessions provide the tools and support you need to navigate your first year with confidence.

What You’ll Learn

• Practical career tools you can use throughout your first year
  
• Clear, actionable next steps after each session
  
• Hands-on support to explore interests, polish your CV, practice networking, and more
  
• Short, focused virtual workshops paired with in-person labs to put skills into practice
  

Who’s It For

First-year and new transfer students from any faculty or program at the University of Duhok.

Format: 20-minute overview + 10-minute Q&A
Tip: Each session is independent — attend any or all!
