* BSc in Earth Sciences, College of spatial planning and applied science, University of Duhok, 2020.

Since 2021, I have taught General Geology in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Duhok, delivering both theoretical lectures and laboratory/field-based coursework to undergraduate students. My courses cover core areas such as mineralogy, stratigraphy, and structural geology, with an emphasis on applying these concepts to field observation and problem-solving — including [specific regional focus, e.g., the geology of the Zagros belt, if relevant]. I aim to build students' technical competence alongside their ability to reason through real geological data.

Pedagogical Training Program — Completed professional training at the University of Duhok’s Center for Pedagogical Training and Academic Development, with a focus on student-centered learning, curriculum development, and instructional design.

Academic Seminars and Workshops — Participated in departmental and university-wide seminars and workshops at the University of Duhok addressing geoscience education, academic development, and contemporary teaching practices in higher education.

Departmental Contributions — Contributed to academic and departmental activities within the Department of Earth Sciences, supporting teaching quality, student learning, and the continuous development of the academic environment.

Research

My research centers on petroleum geoscience, with a focus on the geological processes that govern the formation, evolution, and hydrocarbon potential of sedimentary basins. This includes petroleum geology, reservoir characterization, and source rock evaluation, with particular attention to the geological and mineralogical properties that influence hydrocarbon generation, migration, and accumulation. To investigate these properties, I use X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis to characterize the mineralogical composition of geological materials and explore its implications for subsurface studies.

My research interests also extend to structural geology and tectonic evolution, particularly the ways in which tectonic processes shape basin development and structural architecture. In addition, I am interested in seismic hazard evaluation and basin analysis, examining the geological factors that influence seismic activity and basin evolution.

Together, these research interests aim to advance the understanding of the geological framework and subsurface resources of the Kurdistan Region and the Zagros Basin, while contributing to interdisciplinary research across Earth and petroleum sciences.
