  • MA in Modern and Contemporary History, College of Arts, Van Yuzungwiel University, 2021.
  • BA of social, college of Basic Education, University of Duhok, 2014.

Since 2021, I have been a faculty member at the College of Basic Education at the University of Duhok, where I contribute to the university's academic mission through teaching, supervising graduation projects, student mentoring, and other academic activities. I am committed to fostering critical thinking and historical awareness among students in the fields of History and Kurdish Studies.

My teaching experience span several departments within the college. In the Kurdish Language Department, I taught Kurd ology, a course focused on the historical development, national identity, and culture of the Kurdish people. In the History Department, I taught the following courses: Kurd ology, a methodological introduction to Kurdish history and the historical dimensions of Kurdistan; Ancient European History, which examines ancient European societies and their historical significance; Modern European History, which addresses major political and social transformations in the modern era; and Modern Kurdish History, which analyzes political developments and liberation movements in Kurdish society over the past few centuries.

My teaching philosophy goes beyond the transmission of historical knowledge. It is grounded in contemporary academic methods that emphasize critical inquiry, analytical thinking, and independent scientific research. I encourage students to engage critically with historical evidence and develop the intellectual skills necessary for rigorous academic work.

I am committed to excellence in both teaching and academic service at the University of Duhok, and I endeavor to contribute meaningfully to the intellectual development of students and the broader goals of higher education.

My research interests lie at the intersection of history and journalism, with a particular focus on the relationship between historical events and their representation in the media. I am interested in exploring how journalism documents and analyzes events, and how it influences public understanding of social, political, and cultural developments. My work examines historical sources, media archives, journalistic discourse, and the role of journalism in shaping collective memory and public opinion. Through historical and media research, I strive to contribute to a deeper understanding of the preservation, transmission, and interpretation of knowledge across different eras and societies.

Since 2022, as an academic member of the College of Basic Education at the University of Duhok, I have supervised graduation projects undertaken by fourth-year (senior) students. My supervision has focused on enhancing students' research competencies, critical thinking skills, and ability to apply scientific methodologies in academic inquiry.

The supervised projects were organized into three principal themes. The first focused on Journalism and Media History, examining the role of Kurdish journalism and media in documenting and communicating political, national, and humanitarian events. The second addressed Liberation Movements and Kurdish Historical Figures, exploring the contributions of political leaders and organizations to the development of national consciousness. The third examined Political Transformations, Wars, and Military Coups at regional and international levels, analyzing their effects on political stability and security.

Throughout the supervision process, particular emphasis was placed on research design, the use of academic and archival sources, and the development of analytical and critical evaluation skills. Students were encouraged to engage with historical and media-related issues through rigorous scientific investigation.

The completed projects demonstrate significant progress in students' research and analytical abilities and represent important academic outcomes of the undergraduate program. These studies also provide valuable reference materials for future students and researchers in the fields of history, media, and related disciplines.

Looking ahead, greater emphasis should be placed on interdisciplinary studies that integrate history, sociology, media, and cultural studies. Such an approach would enhance the societal relevance and academic impact of student research while fostering broader perspectives on contemporary and historical issues.
