The Center for Genocide Studies at the University of Duhok organized an activity on Dec. 9th, 2025, the anniversary of the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of This Crime.

The forum included remarks by three distinguished speakers, focusing mainly on social, legal, and political aspects that are directly associated with genocide occurrence and prevention.

Following the delivery of remarks, participants engaged in discussions, contributing to a deeper explanation and understanding of the significance of these aspects that help in preventing atrocities. The forum was concluded with a list of recommendations.
