In accordance with the recommendations of the University President, Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, the Directorate of Media and Public Relations, through the University Press Office (UNPO), has proudly issued the inaugural issue of UOD Newsletter, marking a significant milestone in the University's institutional communication and strategic engagement. As the University's official newsletter, the publication provides a new platform for documenting institutional achievements, celebrating academic excellence, and showcasing the impact of UOD's education, research, innovation, international partnerships, and community engagement.

Published monthly during the first week of each month in English, Kurdish, and Arabic, UOD Newsletter is a strategic communication initiative that supports the implementation of the University of Duhok Strategic Plan (2023–2038). It aims to strengthen institutional identity, promote transparency, enhance international visibility, and serve as a permanent digital archive documenting the University's academic, research, and societal achievements while keeping the UOD community and its partners informed and connected.

The inaugural issue features the University's progress toward institutional accreditation through the Kurdistan Accrediting Association for Education (KAAE), an internationally recognized publishing achievement by a UOD professor, research and innovation initiatives, sustainability efforts, institutional highlights, and stories from across the University's colleges and centers.

The publication is the result of a collaborative effort by the University Press Office. It is led by Chief Executive Editor Ismat M. Khabour and Chief Editor Fatima Mahmood Ali, with editorial team members Maher Taher Salih and Mehvan M. Salih, Photographer Ali Habib Habib, and Designer Bawar Mohammed Sidiq. Their combined expertise and dedication have produced a professional institutional publication that reflects the University's identity, values, and strategic direction.

The launch of UOD Newsletter reinforces the University's commitment to effective institutional communication and stakeholder engagement. As a permanent institutional publication, it will continue to document the University's journey, celebrate excellence, and strengthen the global visibility and reputation of the University of Duhok through impactful storytelling and strategic communication.
