American Corner Duhok Hosts Certificate Distribution Ceremony and Seminar on “America 250: Women in the United States”

The American Corner Duhok at the University of Duhok hosted a special graduation ceremony and academic seminar titled “America 250: Women in the United States,” highlighting women’s leadership and contributions within a global context.

The event was honored by the presence of representatives from the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, including Ms. Kim Strollo, Public Affairs Officer, and Ms. Kala Bokelman, Regional Security Officer, reflecting the strong and ongoing academic and cultural cooperation between the University of Duhok and U.S. institutions.

The program commenced with welcoming remarks by Dr. Zirak Yousif Hasan, Director of the American Corner Duhok, who emphasized the role of educational exchange initiatives in promoting student empowerment, cross-cultural dialogue, and international engagement.

The seminar was delivered by Ms. Kala Bokelman, who presented insights into the America 250 initiative, focusing on the historical achievements, leadership roles, and societal impact of women in the United States. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participating graduates in recognition of their successful completion of the program.
