UOD, July 17, 2026 | University Press Office (UNPO) – The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Duhok has officially launched its mandatory summer training program for final-year students, commencing on July 5, 2026. The program will continue until the final week of August 2026 as part of the college's annual academic and professional training plan.

The summer training program is designed to strengthen students' practical competencies by providing hands-on experience under the supervision of an experienced team of professors, academic experts, and specialists from various fields of veterinary medicine.

As a key component of the college's commitment to academic excellence and community engagement, the program pursues several objectives, including:

  • Academic Supervision: Students receive practical training under the guidance of qualified faculty members and veterinary specialists, ensuring high-quality professional instruction.
  • Community Service: The program supports the college's ongoing commitment to providing direct veterinary consultation and treatment services to citizens, contributing to the University's broader mission of serving the community.
  • Professional Development: Through field and laboratory training, students apply the knowledge acquired during their studies while developing the practical skills required for their future careers. Successful completion of the program is a mandatory graduation requirement for all final-year students.

By combining academic knowledge with practical experience, the College of Veterinary Medicine continues to prepare competent veterinary professionals capable of meeting the needs of the profession and contributing to animal health and community well-being.
