The Department of Chemistry Engages Faculty and Students on Healthy Nutrition Practices
 

📍 College of Science – UOD | May 12, 2025 – University Press Office (UNPO)  | As part of its commitment to public health education and scientific outreach, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Duhok (UOD), organized an academic seminar titled “Unhealthy Food: Scientific Insights into Healthy Eating” on Tuesday, May 7, 2025. The event was held in the college’s main seminar hall and was attended by faculty members.

The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Bayar Ahmed Qasim, a renowned expert in chemical sciences and a faculty member at the UOD’s College of Medicine, with the presence of Dr. Solin Saeed Ahmad, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and respected faculty members of the college.

The main goal of the seminar was to raise awareness about the negative impacts of unhealthy dietary habits and provide scientifically grounded guidance on how individuals can improve their nutrition. Prof. Dr. Biar highlighted:
