Celebrating the Class of 2026: College of Pharmacy Graduates Embark on Their Professional Journey
UOD, July, 2026, University Press Office (UNPO) | The College of Pharmacy at the University of Duhok was established in the 2009–2010 academic year in response to the growing need for qualified pharmacists to support the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors in Duhok Governorate and the Kurdistan Region.
The College offers a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a five-year academic program that combines rigorous theoretical education with extensive practical training in hospitals, health centers, and other healthcare facilities under the supervision of the Directorate of Health in Duhok Governorate. Through this integrated approach, the College continues to prepare highly competent pharmacists committed to improving public health and patient care.
Preparing Tomorrow's Healthcare Professionals
Since graduating its first cohort in July 2013, the College has continued to prepare skilled pharmacists who contribute to healthcare services across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
Graduates are well qualified to pursue careers in:
- Hospitals and healthcare centers
- Community pharmacies
- Clinical and medical laboratories
- Pharmaceutical industries
- Drug quality control and analysis centers
- Research and academic institutions
Supported by practical training and strong collaboration with healthcare institutions, students graduate with the professional knowledge and clinical skills required to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.
