UOD, June 2026 | University Press Office (UNPO)
The graduation of a university class marks more than the completion of academic studies—it represents the beginning of a new journey of creativity, professional growth, and contribution to society. This year, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Duhok celebrates a new cohort of talented graduates who have transformed their artistic passion into professional skills and creative achievements.
About the College of Fine Arts
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Duhok (UOD) became an independent college in 2023. Its roots date back to 2008, when the Department of Drama was first established under the College of Arts. Later, the Departments of Plastic Arts and Music were introduced, expanding opportunities for artistic education within the university.
Today, the college consists of three academic departments:
- Drama
- Plastic Arts
- Music
The college combines theoretical knowledge with intensive practical training, allowing students to develop their artistic abilities through performances, exhibitions, concerts, and creative projects. Through this approach, students gain both technical expertise and real-world experience before entering the professional market.
