Fine Arts Festival, University of Duhok's Journey towards Arts and Creativity

The University successfully concluded the activities of the Fine Arts Festival organized by the College of Fine Arts, with the active participation of students, teachers and artists of the region with the presence of a large crowd of artists, art lovers and art critics in the days of 14-16 May. It was held in different places inside and outside the university campus.

On the first day of the festival, the play "Julank" written and directed by Dr. Mohammed Sabri and the students of the College of Fine Arts were shown, and an exhibition of various paintings by the students was opened to the audience and a large number of people gathered to watch the creativity of the students held in the play and the exhibision.

In the morning of the second day of the festival, a critical discussion was held by several art critics and teachers of the college on "Julank". In the evening of the same day, the play "The Court of King Snakes" written by Halkat Idris and directed by Taha Abdulaziz was performed in Mohammed Arif Jaziri Hall.

The third and final day of the festival was devoted to a critical analysis of the play "The Court of King Snakes" The meeting was conducted by Mehvan Hussein, with the participation, discussion and exchange of views of the participants from artists, critics and teachers on the one hand and the active participation of the audience on the other.

The Fine Arts Festival at the University of Duhok is considered to be a different artistic and creative journey, which included different artistic forms, and was also an opportunity to see the talents and creativity of the students of the College of Fine Arts. The festival has left important cultural signs in the University of Duhok and Duhok city. The festival was also an active participation in the development of artistic education and the dissemination of artistic culture among the students of the University of Duhok.

It is worth mentioning that the University of Duhok is serious about supporting cultural activities and constantly strives to find new opportunities in the future to continue to monitor artistic talents and promote cultural exchange.
