University of Duhok Opens Registration for Kurdish Youth Summer Program 2026

What is the Kurdish Youth Summer Program 2026?
The University of Duhok's Summer Youth Program holds significant importance in strengthening cultural identity, fostering community ties, and empowering the next generation of Kurdish youth. The program provides a unique opportunity for young Kurds living abroad to reconnect with their roots, experience the rich heritage and language of Kurdistan, and build lasting relationships with peers from around the world.
By promoting cultural exchange, education, and civic engagement, the program nurtures a deeper sense of belonging while encouraging participants to become active contributors to the development of Kurdistan and ambassadors of Kurdish culture on the global stage.

- Full accommodation
- Local transportation
- Organized trips to historic, cultural, and scenic locations across Kurdistan, providing a firsthand experience of the region's heritage and natural beauty
Please note: Daily meals, and international flight tickets to and from Kurdistan are not included and must be arranged individually by participants.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the Kurdish Youth Summer Program, applicants must:
- Be of Kurdish origin and between 17 and 23 years of age
- Have at least one parent identified as Kurdish
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for exploring Kurdish culture and an eagerness to learn, engage, and connect with their heritage
