UOD to Host the First “Student Conference” on Student Well-Being
UOD, September 17, 2025, University Press Office (UNPO) | The University of Duhok through its Psycho-Social Counseling and Student Services Center is pleased to hold the first Student Conference on “Student Well-Being on UOD Campus”. The conference will gather 250 students from diverse academic disciplines alongside professors and researchers from Kurdistan Region-Iraq, Germany, and Austria.

Focusing on the theme of student well-being, the event will feature interdisciplinary workshops addressing key challenges and solutions for improving student life and academic success. Workshop results will be presented during the closing session with the participation of university leadership, policymakers, and academics.
The Vice President for Students Affairs, Dr. Nabaz Ibraheem Mohammed, encourages all UOD students to register and participate in this significant event, stating, "This conference is an important opportunity for students to discuss their issues, challenges, and hopes within the university campus. Furthermore, it will be an opportunity to honor their voices and their suggestions for resolving those issues and challenges."
The conference is organized in the frame of the RESI project with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, reinforcing UOD’s commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and international collaboration.
