University of Duhok Invites Participation in TRANSITION Webinar on International Day for Monuments and Sites 2026

On the occasion of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, the University of Duhok invites academics and researchers to participate in the TRANSITION Webinar for the International Day of Monuments and Sites 2026, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded TRANSITION project.
The webinar will take place online on April 17, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM (local time) via Zoom.
Webinar Focus
The session will explore the role of cultural heritage in contexts affected by conflict, fragility, and social transformation, with particular focus on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Yemen. It will also introduce the TRANSITION podcast series, “Conversations Around Cultural Heritage,” which promotes accessible dialogue on the value of heritage in contemporary societies.

- Dr. Dilshad Abduljabbar Haleem, Vice President of the UOD, and TRANSITION project Scientific Coordinator – Presentation of the TRANSITION Project
