University of Duhok to Host International Conference on Universities and the SDGs

University Press Office (UNPO) | The College of City and Regional Planning at the University of Duhok, in partnership with Jerash University and the Jordan Academicians Society, will host the International Conference on the Role of Universities in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (ICRU-SDGs) on September 23–24, 2025. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts through the EDAS system

SDG Undergraduate Project Poster Competition

We invite all undergraduate students throughout the university to participate in the Poster Competition as a part of the conference. This is an opportunity to showcase creativity, research, and innovative ideas related to one or more of the 17 SDGs.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: July 1, 2025
  • Early Bird Registration: July 1, 2025
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: August 15, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: 1st week of September
  • Undergraduate Project Poster Competition Deadline: September 15, 2025
  • Closing the Registration: September 18, 2025

Papers will be published in:

  • A special issue of the “Jerash University Journal of Research and Studies”, a peer- reviewed scientific journal issued by the University of Jerash in Jordan. https://digitalcommons.aaru.edu.jo/jpu/
  • 10 Papers will be published in the “Dirasat: Human and Social Sciences Journal”, indexed in SCOPUS https://dsr.ju.edu.jo/djournals/index.php/Hum -
  • Further publication opportunities may be available in journals indexed by Scopus and/or Clarivate Analytics.
