University of Duhok – Official Announcement

The University of Duhok (UOD), as the coordinator of the EU-funded TRANSITION Project, is pleased to announce an open call for an External Evaluator to support the monitoring and quality assurance of this pioneering initiative.

TRANSITION is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project dedicated to preserving the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of minority communities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Yemen through university-led capacity building and curriculum development. The project runs from February 1, 2025, to January 31, 2027, and includes nine partner institutions from Iraq, Yemen, and Europe.

🧾 Role Summary:
The External Evaluator will independently assess project performance, ensure quality standards are met, and provide two formal evaluation reports—a midterm report and a final report. The evaluator will participate in project meetings (online and in-person), collaborate with UOD's internal Quality Committee, and provide feedback to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of project outcomes.

💼 Who Can Apply?
We are seeking highly qualified professionals with:

• Proven expertise in project evaluation and quality assurance
   
• Experience in higher education or cultural heritage projects
   
• Preferably, familiarity with the Kurdistan and Yemen higher education context
   
• Language skills in Arabic or Kurdish are a plus
