WORKSHOP (Panel): FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY-2023

The College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences/ Food Science and Technology Department at the University of Duhok is hosting a national workshop (Panel) entitled:

"Scientific Overview of the status of milk and Dairy products"

during the period Wednesday 1st of November 2023.

from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM (Local Duhok Time).

The workshop will be held at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences.

Justification :

There is an increasing claim about the quality of dairy products produced locally compared to imported ones. It is necessary to obtain awareness and concepts from different dairy farms and dairy companies and add value to the dairy industry by dealing with new trends within the producers and consumer expectations and demands.

Objectives:

The aim of the panel is to provide a scientific overview of the status of milk and dairy products in Duhok province and Kurdistan region. Additionally, it will provide the attendees with insight into the quantity of milk and dairy products produced in the area while focusing on the quality of the dairy products in local farms, and plants compared to the imported dairy products. Also, the use of technologies, and their applications for a range of common dairy products, including fluid milk, fermented milk, cheeses, butter, and dry milk powders will be covered.
