The University of Duhok Participates in International Conference on Education

The University of Duhok actively engaged in the prestigious Third International Conference on Education (ICET-2023) held in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region. The event, graced by the presence of the Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Region, university presidents, members of Parliament from Kurdistan and Iraq, government institution directors, and education experts, took place on May 17, 2023. The conference was organized by the Sterling School, University of Cambridge, GEMS Education, and UK Teachers Academy.

During the conference, Dr. Dilshad Abdul Jabbar Haleem, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, represented the University of Duhok. Several engaging discussion sessions focused on education were conducted. Notably, Dr. Ameen Abdulqader, a distinguished Assistant professor from the University of Duhok, delivered a lecture on the integration of 21st-century skills into the educational process in Kurdistan.

Dr. Abdulqader emphasized the profound transformations in work and education brought about by technology and globalization in the 21st century. The lecture underscored the significance of equipping students with the skills required for success in the evolving work landscape. The educational centers in Kurdistan should prioritize these skills and elevate the capabilities of students accordingly.

The University of Duhok's active participation in the International Conference on Education reinforces its commitment to advancing educational practices and contributing to the development of Kurdistan.
