The University of Duhok signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VolunteerKRD Organization on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Presidency of the university.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the President of the UOD, Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, and the Director of VolunteerKRD, Ms. Fatima Rezan Othman. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the University for Students Affairs, Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim, and the Director of International Relations, Dr. Nizar Amin, along with members of the aforementioned organization. The main objective of this memorandum is to cooperate between the two parties to implement joint activities, especially developing the culture of volunteering and developing the capabilities of youth and students to carry out volunteer work that serves the academic and civil society.

VolunteerKRD is a non-governmental organization based in Erbil, working to empower youth and enhance their spirit of volunteering to bring about positive change in society. This organization works to identify volunteer opportunities for youth in any other organization or institution in Kurdistan.
