In a remarkable achievement that showcases the University of Duhok’s (UOD) commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and student-led research, a group of students from the Surveying Engineering Department at the College of Engineering has successfully designed a three-dimensional (3D) digital map of the university’s campus.

This state-of-the-art 3D map, developed as part of the students’ graduation project, offers a high-quality, interactive guide that allows students, faculty, and visitors to navigate the university with ease. Beyond a visual representation, the students have also developed a mobile application that provides a seamless experience for locating buildings, departments, and key facilities across the UOD campus.

The development of the 3D campus map and navigation app aligns with UOD’s Strategic Plan 2023–2038, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, smart campus initiatives, and student-led innovation.
