Professor Mosleh Saeed Duhoky served as the third president of the University of Duhok (UoD), leading the institution through nearly a decade of growth and global recognition. Building on the foundations laid by his predecessors, Prof. Duhoky brought a forward-thinking vision and extensive leadership experience to elevate UoD's stature.

Advancing Internationalization

Prof. Duhoky prioritised the internationalisation of UoD by fostering global partnerships and collaborations with leading academic institutions. These efforts positioned the university prominently on the global academic map and created opportunities for research, exchange, and joint initiatives.

Institutional Modernisation

Under his leadership, UoD underwent significant institutional modernisation. He introduced innovative academic programs aligned with international standards, ensuring the university remained a competitive and key institution within the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Academic Background

Prof. Duhoky earned a B.Sc. in Agriculture (1976) and an M.Sc. in Plant Physiology (1978) from the University of Sulaimani, Iraq. He later completed his Ph.D. in Cytology at the University of Silesia, Poland, in 2000, further enriching his expertise in higher education and research.

Legacy

Through his focus on innovation, international engagement, and academic excellence, Prof. Duhoky left a lasting impact on UoD. His tenure solidified the university’s reputation as a leading centre for education, research, and community development in the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
