About the Program

The Kurdish Youth Summer Program at the University of Duhok is an annual two-week cultural exchange designed for Kurdish Youth Diaspora in Europe. This program hosts 20 Kurdish young people and offers a unique opportunity to immerse in Kurdistani culture, traditions, and heritage. Through a series of curated activities, participants will engage in cultural, national, and traditional experiences, fostering unity and understanding among Kurdish youth. The program aims to foster pride in Kurdish national identity, encourage dialogue and collaboration among Kurdish youth from diverse backgrounds, and promote unity and solidarity. When: 04/08/2024 until 18/08/2024.

◉ Cultural Exchange: Provide participants with opportunities to immerse themselves in Kurdistani culture, traditions, and heritage.

◉ National Identity: Foster a sense of pride and connection to Kurdish national identity among participants.

◉ Unity Building: Encourage dialogue and collaboration among Kurdish youth from diverse backgrounds, promoting unity and solidarity.

◉ Personal Growth: Facilitate personal growth and development through experiential learning and exposure to new perspectives.

◉ Eligibility: 1. Must be a Kurd between the ages of 17-22 years old, with at least one parent/guardian who identifies as a Kurd. We seek individuals who are passionate about exploring Kurdish culture and are eager to learn, engage, and build community.

◉ Beneficiaries: Participants will benefit from a transformative cultural experience, gaining valuable insights, skills, and connections that will enrich their personal and academic lives.

◉ What's Included: Free registration! We cover accommodation, meals, and exciting tours across Kurdistan. (Flight tickets not included.)
