Since 2016, I have been serving as a lecturer at the College of Basic Education, University of Duhok. During this period, I have taught a variety of undergraduate courses in both the Kurdish and Arabic Departments, including Administration and Educational Supervision, Pedagogy, Kurdology, Educational Psychology, Observation and Training, and General English. My teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, critical thinking, and the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical educational applications. Through these courses, I have contributed to the academic and professional development of future educators and graduates.

Academic Leadership

Since 2019, I have served as Deputy Head of the Arabic Department at the University of Duhok, where I contribute to departmental governance, academic program coordination, and faculty development. My responsibilities include supporting quality assurance processes, monitoring student academic progress, and contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching quality and institutional effectiveness.

In addition, I serve as the Bologna Process Coordinator for the Arabic Department, working on aligning academic programs with international higher education standards. This includes supporting curriculum development and reform, enhancing degree comparability, and contributing to institutional readiness for academic mobility within higher education reform initiatives in the Kurdistan Region.

Since 2026, I have also served as Director of the Educational Research Center at the College of Education, University of Duhok. In this role, I oversee research activities, support academic and educational studies, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the development of evidence-based educational policies and practices. My work focuses on strengthening research capacity, fostering innovation in education, and supporting the University's mission of academic excellence and community engagement.

International Collaboration and Institutional Representation

Since 2023, I have represented the College of Basic Education through the University of Duhok's International Relations Office and have been an active member of the Pedagogy Centre, contributing to institutional partnerships and collaborative academic initiatives.

I have also participated in the Future Elementary School Teachers Modernization Project (2023–2025), a collaborative international initiative involving partner institutions from Italy, Spain, and Portugal, focusing on teacher education, curriculum modernization, and cross-cultural academic cooperation.

Conference Participation and Research Engagement

In 2024, I participated in several national and international conferences, including the Stirling School Pre-ICET Conference, the Second International Conference at Salahuddin University, and a conference at Nowruz University, as well as academic events organized in collaboration with the American University of Kurdistan and the Universities of Pavia, Utah, and Granada.

Humanitarian and NGO Engagement

Prior to my academic career, I was actively engaged in humanitarian and psychosocial support work. Between 2016 and 2018, I worked with Tutapona Organization, facilitating trauma rehabilitation programs for internally displaced women, including psychological first aid and the GROW Program, which supported the graduation of over 400 participants. I also worked with Darya Organization (2017–2018) under the UNHCR-funded DAFI Program, providing counseling and psychosocial support to displaced students. Earlier, between 2008 and 2013, I contributed to women's empowerment and human rights initiatives with the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization (KHOR).

My research interests focus on enhancing teaching and learning in higher education through innovative pedagogical approaches and emerging educational technologies. I am particularly interested in teaching methods, active learning strategies, and modern pedagogical practices that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and academic achievement. A key area of my work explores the integration of artificial intelligence in education, including the use of generative AI to support teaching, learning, and assessment. I am also interested in teacher education and professional development, with an emphasis on preparing educators to effectively adopt evidence-based instructional practices and technology-enhanced learning environments.

Since 2016, I have supervised undergraduate students at the College of Basic Education, University of Duhok. My supervision experience includes guiding graduation projects, mentoring academic research, and supporting students in the development and application of effective teaching methods. Through this role, I have helped students strengthen their research capabilities, critical thinking skills, and professional competencies, enabling them to successfully complete their academic projects and achieve their educational objectives.
