  • Ph.D. in Construction Science (Focus on Soil and Rock Mechanics), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, 2013.
  • Licentiate of Technology in Construction Science (Focus on Soil and Rock Mechanics), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, 2010.
  • B.Sc. in Dams and Water Resources Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Mosul, Iraq, 1993.

Dr. Mohammed earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Dams and Water Resources Engineering from the University of Mosul, Iraq, in 1993. The following year, he joined the newly established College of Engineering at the University of Duhok as a faculty member. Driven by a keen interest to deepen his scientific knowledge and expertise, he decided to specialize in geotechnical engineering.

In 2008, he moved to Sweden to pursue advanced studies in Geotechnical Engineering at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, obtaining his Licentiate of Technology degree in 2010. He continued his academic journey at KTH within the Division of Soil and Rock Mechanics, successfully earning his Ph.D. in 2013. Dr. Mohammed aims to continue advancing impactful research within the field of geotechnical engineering.
