The Center for Genocide Studies at the University of Duhok commemorated the 37th anniversary of the Badinan's Anfal on Monday, August 25th, 2025, in coordination with the 88 Organization for Anfal's Recognition. Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, the UoD's President, delivered a speech that emphasised on the importance of holding such events and the continuous advancement of genocide studies.

The forum included three presentations by academics and experts on genocide, focusing on the Badinan's Anfal. Following them were an expression of viewpoints by the attendees representing the diverse segments of the society.
