University of Duhok – September 6, 2025, University Press Office | At the University of Duhok, the activities of a special training course titled "Knowledge Package and Work Skills" have successfully concluded. This course was organized in coordination between the American Corner at the university and the I.M. Academy, with the aim of providing essential life skills to a group of young people aged 11 to 16.

The course content, which ran from August 24th to August 31st, consisted of several important and practical subjects, such as the fundamentals of electricity, water and plumbing, computers, as well as carpentry and blacksmithing, along with other useful general knowledge. These topics were selected to provide participants with a foundational understanding of important daily tasks.

The course was well-received, and ten individuals benefited from it. This limited number allowed instructors to give more focused attention to each student.

In a ceremony where the Director of the American Corner, Dr. Zirak Yousif Hasan, on the final day of the course, August 31st, participation certificates were distributed to the attendees. The certificates were presented by Dr. Nazar Ameen Mohammed, Director of International Relations at the University of Duhok, and Engineer Rebar Abdulla Mohammed, Director of I.M. Academy. It is worth mentioning that this course was a collaborative effort by engineer Rebar Abdulla, trainer Shahnaz Othman Hussein, and coordinator Narin Shukri Hussein.

This initiative reflects the University of Duhok's commitment to enhancing the knowledge level of the youth and the community outside the university.

This activity is seen as an important step towards strengthening the practical skills of the new generation and preparing them for the future.
