As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between academia and literary circles, the Department of Kurdish Language at the University of Duhok’s College of Languages hosted a thought-provoking seminar featuring renowned poet Amin Botani. Amin Botani: A Voice in Kurdish Poetry

Born in 1966 in Sheikhan, poet Amin Botani has dedicated his literary career to Kurdish poetry and criticism. His poetry collection, Diwana Amin Botani (2017), is a testament to his artistic journey and literary contributions. During the seminar, Botani explored the essence of poetry, poetic techniques, and the intricate relationship between the writer, text, and reader, while critically analyzing the evolving landscape of literary criticism in the Badinan region.

The event underscored the University of Duhok’s commitment to strengthening academic and cultural engagement.
