University of Duhok’s Computer Science Department Showcases AI-Driven Solutions at Annual Innovation Exhibition
Highlighting Technological Creativity and Community Impact through Student Projects
📍 UOD, May 4, 2025, University Press Office (UNPO) | As part of its mission to foster innovation and applied learning, the Department of Computer Science at the College of Science – University of Duhok hosted its Annual Computer Science Software Exhibition on April 24, 2024, at the Student Center.
The event was inaugurated under the supervision and presence of:
- Dr. Luqman Hadi Hassan, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies
- Dr. Nabaz Ibrahim Mohammed, Vice President for Student Affairs
- Dr. Mohammed Aziz Ibrahem, Dean of the College of Science
- Dr. Dezheen Hussein Abdulazeez, Head of the Computer Science Department
Along with faculty members, students, and visitors, the exhibition brought together academic minds and innovative thinkers to explore the intersection of computer science and community service.
🖥️ Technology with a Purpose: AI-Powered Projects for Real-World Problems
This year’s edition featured 20 advanced student-led projects, many of which harnessed artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing to solve pressing local and global issues.
Visitors were invited to engage with the students, who presented their prototypes, explained their development processes, and shared their vision for using technology to drive positive social change.

This exhibition reflects the University of Duhok’s Strategic Plan 2023–2038, which prioritizes:
