"Science is the Key to Nations' Success" – UOD Students Showcase Breakthrough Projects and Experiments

UOD, May 3, 2025, University Press Office (UNPO) | Under the distinguished supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aziz Ibrahem, Dean of the College of Science (CSCN), and in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Hussein Khalil, the Vice Dean and Dr. Revink Ali Ramadhan, the Head of the Department of Physics, the Sixth Annual Physics Exhibition was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The event brought together faculty members, students, and science enthusiasts to celebrate the theme: “Science is the Key to Nations’ Success.”

The exhibition, a flagship academic event organized by students of the Department of Physics, aimed to highlight outstanding scientific accomplishments and promote a culture of research, innovation, and discovery among students.

This student-led initiative provided a dynamic platform for showcasing applied physics projects, experimental demonstrations, and creative models that bridge theory with real-world impact. The exhibition featured:

• Innovative experiments in optics, electromagnetism, and fluid dynamics
• Student-built prototypes illustrating principles of energy conservation and thermodynamics
• Posters and infographics explaining complex scientific ideas in accessible formats
   

The event not only showcased the technical skills of UOD’s physics students but also emphasized the role of STEM education in addressing societal challenges and driving national development.
