UOD, July 16, 2025 | UNPO – The University of Duhok proudly honored the Class of 2024-2025 from the College of Health Sciences with a special photo session that brought together students, and faculty to mark the end of a transformative academic journey.

About the College

Established in 2012, the College of Health Sciences is a vital part of UOD’s mission to improve health and well-being across the Kurdistan Region. The college currently includes two departments—Medical Laboratory Sciences and Anesthesia Sciences—with more departments planned as part of its expansion. Students graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, prepared for careers in laboratories, emergency units, operating rooms, ICUs, and research institutions.

Career Pathways

Graduates are now ready to enter a wide range of roles in public and private health institutions, supported by strong links with local hospitals and Duhok’s health authorities. Many also plan to pursue postgraduate education or contribute to applied medical research.

A Day of Pride and Promise

The session reflected the college’s core values of excellence, equity, service, and leadership. Under the spirit “Educating for Health, Leading with Purpose,” the photo session captured emotional moments of pride, joy, and hopeful futures.
